I got the cookie cutter candle idea from Martha Stuart’s website. I had some heart and star cookie cutters so proceeded to tape them to a tray I had handy since I didn’t have foil.
I didn’t use enough tape the first time so make sure they’re secured before pouring the wax or you will have a huge mess.
Before you pour the wax into the taped cookie cutters , center and insert your tabbed tealight wicks.
I dyed my wax red and scented them with a cherry aroma. The stars would be good for the 4th of July coming up, Xmas or any occasion you wanted to add some sparkle. Hearts would be pretty for a romantic dinner, Valentines day or just to add some more love to your family dinner table.
