Making Aromatherapy Lavender Heart Tarts
May 17, 2008 |
I bought some lavender essential oil and decided to make some tarts for the burner that my daughter bought me. I found these cute heart shaped flexible molds at the dollar store.
First I melted a pound of soy wax until it was 200 degrees. Some wax has a lower flash point so check that before you blast it too high.
Then I added the purple dye. Once the temperature went down to 150 Fahrenheit, I added about an ounce or 30 ml. of lavender essential oil.
Next, the pouring. I’m not showing that because I didn’t do it gracefully but the end result is what counts.
Voila, some cute chubby heart tarts that smell wonderful.
