New Year Painted Candle

New Year CandleI found this beautiful new year pillar candle project at Michael’s Craft store website. Full instructions are there and you can download the candle painting pattern as well.

I have not painted anything more than spots, stripes and happy faces on candles. I am getting more ambitious since the new year is coming and there’s a template provided. They explain how to use tracing paper and then graphite paper to transfer the pattern.

I love the contrast of the paint on the black candle. It does look like fun. If you do try it, happy painting and new year!
